Modelware founder and CEO, Dr. Maged Elaasar, presented Engineering Models You Can Reason On and Compute Over at the JAXA MBSE Symposium in Japan on June 11, 2026, introducing OML Code, the intelligence-centric engineering platform built on Logic, AI, and DevOps.
The talk traced the journey the systems engineering industry is on, from document-centric to model-centric to knowledge-centric to intelligence-centric, and asked why so many MBSE efforts stall after the first models are built. The answer: creating models was never the goal. The goal is engineering knowledge that teams can trust and act on, and that AI can be safely grounded in.
The session also featured live demonstrations. Modelware partner David Wagner demonstrated a verification and validation methodology built on the platform, and Yuta Nakajima showed how JAXA has been leveraging the platform to streamline model-based analysis in their context.
We thank the symposium organizers for the invitation and the JAXA community for the sharp, energizing discussion. It is clear that the future of systems engineering is being taken very seriously in Japan.
